I think I'll revisit the hat when I feel I have the proper solution to my problem. Right now, I am working on some needle felting for a neck warmer (not to be confused with a scarf)
The base is a wool/angora blend that I knit on my home machine. After a good steam I started to pull some roving apart and create a sort of organic textile. When I'm finished I'll show you all how it wraps.
I will try to be better in the New Year. I am a fan of turban style hats, and have used these caps as inspiration for my own modern twist on an old theme.
The blue violet colored fabric is a knit I made in school. The mustardy-yellow is homemade felt. I have an excess of wool roving in my closet, so felting seemed to be a natural solution.
I hope this will be a way to show instead of tell what is going on in my world. It may be anything from what is currently inspiring me to an actual project I may be in the midst of. Either way, I'm counting on it to be a good motivator for me to keep creating! I hope you all will enjoy.
